About ToolSetu
A free, privacy-first toolkit for India — built and maintained by a small team that cares about getting the details right.
ToolSetu is a free online toolkit that brings together the everyday tools people in India actually need — income-tax and EMI calculators, SIP and retirement planners, PDF and image tools, Office and file converters, business-document generators, an AI prompt library, and IFSC, pincode and RTO lookups — in one fast, clean, privacy-first place. Most tools run entirely inside your browser, so your numbers and files never leave your device.
Who builds ToolSetu
ToolSetu is an independent project, built and maintained by a small team based in India. We started ToolSetu out of a simple frustration: the everyday calculators and tools Indians rely on were scattered across dozens of cluttered, ad-heavy, sign-up-walled websites. ToolSetu is our attempt to build one place that is genuinely fast, honest about your privacy, and accurate to Indian rules — the way we'd want to use it ourselves. How we build and check our tools
Because many of our calculators deal with money, tax and legal documents, accuracy matters to us more than anything else. Here is how we work:
- We use the published formulas. Our income-tax, gratuity, HRA, PPF, EMI, SIP and capital-gains tools follow the standard formulas and rules laid down by the Income Tax Act, the Payment of Gratuity Act, RBI and the relevant schemes — not guesswork.
- We show our working. Every calculator page explains the formula in plain English and walks through a fully worked example in rupees, so you can verify the maths yourself instead of trusting a black box.
- We keep it current. Tax slabs, exemption limits and interest rates change. We review the tools against each financial year's rules and mark content that depends on rates that can change.
- We're honest about limits. Our tools give careful estimates for planning and learning. They are not a substitute for personal advice from a qualified chartered accountant, financial adviser or lawyer — and we say so, clearly.
What we stand for
- Private by design. Calculators, PDF and image tools and file converters run in your browser. We don't upload, store or sell the numbers you enter or the files you create. See our Privacy Policy.
- Free, with no sign-up. Every tool is completely free to use, with no account and no paywall. We keep the lights on with a small amount of non-intrusive advertising.
- Made for India. Rupee formatting in lakh and crore, Indian tax and scheme rules, and document templates that match local norms.
