Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ToolSetu, an independent website operated by the ToolSetu team ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use our website. We designed ToolSetu to be private by default: most tools run entirely in your browser.

1. Information we collect

• Tool inputs: Numbers, text and files you enter into calculators, converters, PDF/image tools and document generators are processed in your browser and are not sent to, or stored on, our servers.
• Contact form: If you message us, we store the name, email, subject and message you provide, solely to respond to you.
• Usage data: We collect limited, largely anonymous analytics such as pages visited, referring page, approximate region, device and browser type, to understand what is useful and to keep the site secure.
• Preferences: We store your theme choice, saved/bookmarked items and consent choice in your browser's local storage.

2. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to remember your theme preference, saved items and cookie-consent choice. Our advertising and analytics partners (see below) may also set cookies. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

3. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties, each with its own privacy policy: Google AdSense (advertising), Google Fonts (typography), and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

Contact-form messages are retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records, and are then deleted. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or limited form. Because tool inputs are processed in your browser, we have nothing to retain about them.

6. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data submitted through our contact form. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have submitted (such as a contact message), and you may withdraw consent for personalised ads at any time, by emailing support@toolsetu.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
